Spinner Akshay Jain’s Crucial Spell helps Sharks XI clinch a win in Pondicherry T20 Tournament’22

Played at CAP Siechem Ground in Puducherry Sharks XI opting to bat first posted a total of 162/5 in 20 overs. Openers AS Raviraj and Gonnabatula top scored with 41 and 44 runs respectively. From the bowlers, Julian Jacob with 3/18 was the pick of the lot.

Defending a total of 163, Sharks XI restricted Tigers XI to just 115/7 in 20 overs courtesy some tight bowling by the Sharks Bowlers. Spinner Akshay Jain who was the top wicket-taker in Pondicherry T10 Tournament continued his purple patch with the ball returning with match winning bowling figures of 3/13 in 4 overs. Akshay not only restricted the batters not allowing them to score freely but also provided timely breakthroughs.

Result: Sharks XI won the match by 47 runs while Akshay Jain was declared ‘Man of the Match’
