Spartans CC defends a low scoring total over Redbridge Parks CC in Premier Division T20 Quarter-Finals

Played at Hainault Recreation Ground in London, Spartans CC 1st XI opting to bat first were all out for a low total of 75 runs in 13.4 overs. 3 batters managed to score in double digits for Spartans which included Krishna Santosh (21 runs), Upendar (12 runs) and Nithin (10 runs).

Defending such a low total in the all important quarter-finals, the pressure was certainly more on the defending team Spartans but their bowlers did an excellent job restricting Redbridge CC to 63 all out. Redbridge were bundled out in 18.1 overs falling short of 12 runs courtesy a match winning bowling spell by Rajesh B who took 4/11 in 4 overs alongwith 2 wkts each by Upendar and Venkat.

Result: Spartans XI won Quarter-Finals by 12 runs
