Hrishikesh’s all-round efforts and Kshitij’s ton ensures Blue Duck Holidays Pvt Ltd reach finals of Chanawala 40 overs Trophy Season 36

Blue Duck Holidays Pvt.Ltd after being put to bat first at New Era, Azad Maidan made a more than decent total of 250/8 in 40 overs. Opener Harsh S and no.3 batsman Kshitij Metkari put on a 117 run stand for the 2nd wicket with Harsh scoring a crucial half century while Kshitij top scoring in the match with 100 runs off 89 balls which included 16 boundaries. Captain Hrishikesh Puranik who came at no.6 once again contributed with a handy knock of 40* runs in 46 balls tactfully batting with the tail and ensuring his team reaches a healthy total to defend.

GICS in reply were all out for 191 runs in 34.4 overs with Captain Hrishikesh Puranik and his cricketing disciple Aayush Ambekar leading the bowling troop as both the players took 3wkts each. Hrishikesh took 3/22 in 8 overs which included a maiden  while Aayush took 3/17 in 5 overs alongwith a maiden as Blue Duck Holidays Pvt Ltd won the match by 59 runs and get through to the finals of the tournament.

Kshitij Metkari for his brilliant century was declared Man of the Match while skipper Hrishikesh’s all-round contribution in the match remains equally praiseworthy!
