Bhabhua, April 2, Kamlakar CC became the Champions of Advocate Amarendra Pandey Tappu Smriti Kaimur District Senior Division Cricket League organized under the aegis of Kaimur District Cricket Association.
Kamlakar CC defeated Kaimur CC in a commanding fashion by 34 runs at MP College Sports Ground courtesy a match winning hundred by Bihar’s wicket-keeper batsman Shashank Upadhyay. Kamlakar CC batting first after winning the toss posted a healthy total of 259/4 on board in 35 overs with opener Shashank top scoring in the match with 128 runs off mere 88 balls while Gupil Rai scoring a half century. Shashank who already plays for Bihar State Team showed great quality and strokeplay as he guided his team towards as strong position.
Chasing a total of 260 runs, Kaimur CC could only manage 225/9 in their allotted 35 overs as Kamlakar CC won the match by 35 runs.
