Sevenkings CC defends their total in an eventful tie vs Barking CC in NCL Premier Division League’24

Sevenkings CC batting first at Maybrook Barking CC Ground were all out for 147 runs in 29.4 overs with Nilesh Kachwale at no.3 being the top scorer. Nilesh scored a gritty 46 off 52 balls helping his team reach a respectable three figure total to defend.

Defending 148 on Barking CC’s homeground was going to be no easy task at all but Sevenkings bowlers gave it all not allowing them to win the match easily. Sevenkings bowlers dominated in an almost one-sided affair had it not been Nehal Bhatt at the middle order fighting it out with a half century.

The match remained exciting till the very last ball where ultimately Sevenkings bowlers ensured the match ended in a tie with both teams scoring 147 runs. Janesh Malik with 2/13 in 8 overs was the pick of the lot while speedster Harshil Doshi took 2/42 in his spell of 7 overs which included key wickets of the top order batters.

Result: The match was tied.
