Sai’s All-Round Show steers SMCC United to a win in Russell Mania-52 Semi-finals

Into the all-important semi-finals at BCC Cricket Ground in Hyderabad, Shastra Kings opting to bat first made a total of 138/10 in 20 overs. It was almost a batting collapse until their no.7 batter Bhargav chipped in with a half century. From the bowlers, Saiprasad Bhosle, Srikanth, Sachin and Sunil bagged 2wkts a piece.

SMCC United in reply chased down the total in just 17.5 overs with wicket-keeper Raghav top scoring with 35 runs at no.3. SMCC did lost wickets in between but it was Saiprasad Bhosle (16*) and Om (24*) delivering the final punch with a crucial unbeaten partnership to take their team home to the finals.

Saiprasad for his all-round performance was declared ‘man of the match”
