Prasad Pawar (164 runs), Bhupen Lalwani (85 runs), A.Jethwa (64 runs) shine as Payyade wins in MCA Young Comrade Shield Tournament’25

Payyade Sports Club opting to bat first at Cross Maidan posted a mammoth total on board notching up 448/6 In 70 overs. Openers Bhupen Lalwani and Aayush Jethwa gave a perfect start to the innings stitching 118 runs opening stand. Bhupen scored 85 off 108 balls which included 10 boundaries while Aayush scored 64 off 76 balls which included 9 boundaries. Prasad Pawar at no.4 turned the game around as he went on to score a big daddy hundred smashing a brilliant knock of 164 runs.

Wicket-keeper batsman Prasad coming at no.4 went all guns blazing smashing 21 boundaries and 1 six while he was ably supported by lower middle order batsman Ajay Mishra who scored an unbeaten 51* off 15 balls at no.9 taking Payyade to a massive 400+ total.

Regal Cricket Club in reply were all out for 171 runs in 38.4 overs with left arm pacer Ajay Mishra taking 4/33 and experienced all-rounder Parag Khanapurkar chipping in with 3/42 in 9 overs as Payyade Sports Club won the match by 277 runs.
