Pacer Zaid Patankar strikes with a brilliant 7wkt haul in MCA Shaline Bhalekar Trophy’23

Jehangir Pithawala XI opting to bat first at Matunga Gymkhana Ground in Mumbai made a total of 461/10 in 116.1 overs courtesy a double century by Harshal Jadhav who scored 243 runs. Apart from him Sahil Jadhav scored a half century while rest of the batters chipped in with cameos.

RR Sahuraja XI in reply were bundled out for 230 runs in 46.2 overs courtesy a searing spell of fast bowling by Zaid Patankar. Zaid returned with exceptional bowling figures in the match as he took 6/42 in 13 overs. Zaid made life difficult with his raw pace as RR Sahuraja XI could’t capitalize much while chasing a steep 1st innings total of 461. RR Sahuraja in 2nd innings scored 277/5 after receiving a follow on as Jehangir Pithawala XI won the match on 1st innings lead.

Zaid ended the match with 7wkts to his name and overall 11 wkts in the tournament which is the highest amongst the fast bowlers in MCA Shalini Bhalekar Trophy.
