Pacer Shoaib Khan fifer ensures a massive win for Barking CC in Essex League’24

Played at Farilop Oak Playing Fields in UK, Barking CC after being put to bat first made a total of 189/8 in 45 overs. Zahid Hanif at the middle order top scored with 66 runs off 75 balls while he was ably supported by Prasanth Gottam who scored 38 runs.

Defending a total of 190 runs, Ilford CC were cleaned up for 81 runs in 27.1 overs courtesy a brilliant bowling performance by Pacer Shoaib Khan. Shoaib wrecked havoc as he returned with match winning bowling performance of 5/8 in 7 overs including 4 maidens. Shoaib proved too hot to handle not allowing any batters to settle as he helped Barking CC clinch a massive win by 108 runs.

Shoaib also ended up being adjudged “Player of the Week” for his brilliant bowling spell which changed the course of the game while defending a not so big total on board.
