Opener Zain Naqvi impresses with a blazing half century in semi-finals of Canpionato Italian Serie A1

Roma Cricket Club after being put to bat first scored 261/10 in 46.2 overs with most of the batters finding it difficult to convert their starts sparing Kaniska at middle order who scored a half century. From the bowlers, Ahmed Munir returned with impressive bowling figures of 5/22 in 10 overs including 2 maidens.

Chasing 262, Fresh Tropical Cricket Club were off to a blazing start with openers Zain Naqvi and Sikandar Abbas (30 runs) providing a solid opening partnership. Zain, known for his aggressive batting style continued to play in his flamboyant fashion scoring a quick 63 off 36 balls striking at 175.00. Zain at one stage made the target look easy smashing 8 boundaries and 2 sixes alongwith Ahmed Munir who scored 77 at no.3. However, the rest of the batters below them could’nt capitalize as Fresh Tropical CC who were at one stage very much in the game were all out for 245 runs in 34.5 overs.

Result: Roma CC won by 16 runs
