Opener Akhil Herwadkar half century guides CCI to a commanding win in Young Comrade Shield’25

Payyade Sports Club after being put to bat first at Karnatak, Cross Maidan made a total of 237/10 in 62.3 overs. Ayush Jethwa and Prasad Pawar registered half centuries for Payyade while from the bowlers Dhrumil Matkar and Kartik Mishra with 3 wickets each were the pick of the lot.

Chasing 238, CCI were off to a solid start with openers Aarya and Akhil putting on 90 run opening stand. Akhil Herwadkar continued his superb form with the bat registering yet another thumping half century as he scored 67 off 75 balls which included 11 boundaries and 1 six. Saksham Parashar and Dhrumil Matkar at the middle order smashed crucial half centuries stitching an unbeaten 105* run stand for the 7th wicket as Cricket Club of India won the match by 4 wickets crossing the victory line in 58th over.
