Omar Patni’S 49 & tight bowling by Prashant & Ashwin help United Patni quality into Semi-Finals of MCA Corporate Trophy’24

United Bank of India Sports Club batting first at Sassanian, Azad Maidan made a total of 85/10 in 17.3 overs with opener Roopkumar Yadav’s 13 being the highest score. It was a clinical bowling performance by United Patni bowlers restricting the opposition to a low total. Ashwin Shelke with 3/6 and Prashant Patil with 3/18 were the pick of the lot while Captain Omar Patni with 2/18 also chipped in well.

United Patni in reply chased down the score in 18.5 overs winning the match by 6 wkts. Even United Patni kept on losing wickets but Omar Patni from one end held fort scoring a gritty run a ball 49 to steer his team through the semi-finals. Armaan Pathan (15*) and Prashant Patil (7*) smashed the winning runs as United Patni won the quarter finals of C Division MCA Corporate Trophy.

With 8 wkts in 3 matches, Prashant is United Patni’s most consistent and overall the second highest wicket taker in C Division.
