Mumbai Speedster Zaid Patankar announces himself in Kanga League with 4wkts in the Opening Tie

Kanga League – one of the most prestigious and oldest Cricket Tournaments of Mumbai Cricket has finally kickstarted after a span of 3 years. The B Division match which took place between Victory Cricket Club and Dadar Union Sports Club witnessed some good individual performances.

Victory Cricket Club after being put to bat first at Parsee Gymkhana Ground, made a total of 251/10 in 65.1 overs. Jay Jain who came at no.4 top scored with 85 runs off 128 balls while from the bowlers it was Mumbai U16 and U19 pacer Zaid Patankar displaying his bowling prowess with fine line and length. Zaid was the pick of the lot taking 4/36 in 13 overs which included 5 maidens and some crucial top order breakthroughs. Apart from Zaid, Aman Manihar also bagged 4/69 in 16.1 overs.

The match ended in a tie with Dadar Union batting at 63/1 at the end of the game’s play. Siddarth Mhatre remained unbeaten on 31*
