Mumbai Police City Riders after being put to bat first on their home ground were least affected with losing the toss as the posted a massive total of 221/6 in 20 overs. The openers, comprising of the experienced Sunil Patil (31 off 17 balls) and Aaryaraj Nikam gave a flying start putting on 54 runs in first 5 overs. Aaryaraj Nikam scored a brilliant knock of 80 runs in just 50 balls which included 12 boundaries and 2 sixes. Harsh Aghav (38 runs) and Rohit Pol (27* off 11 balls) gave the finishing touch helping Mumbai Police reach a formidable total on board.

Shivaji Park Warriors in reply were all out for 217 runs in 19.5 overs with Agni Chopra (58 runs) and Siddhant Singh (52 off 21 balls) smashing half centuries. From the bowlers, Captain Sunil Patil with 4/15 in 2.5 overs was the pick of the lot bowling a superb final over to take his team towards the victory line and become the champions of the prestigious Mitsui Shoji T20 Tournament.
