Morbi District Cricket Association’s Senior Team which has been growing leaps and bounds since last few years & it continues to rise through the ranks. In the recently held Tajawala Trophy organized by Saurashtra Cricket Association, Morbi Senior Team qualified for the knockout round defeating Porbandar Team courtesy great performance by the Morbi players.
J.Naveen came up with exceptional performance vs Porbandar team under crunch situation as his all-round heroics ensured Morbi Team remained on top. J.Naveen scored 104* not out and took 3 wkts which bagged him man of the match award too. Chasing 208, Naveen came to the crease when Morbi were 14/2 and 47/3 at one stage. Naveen anchored the chase with a match winning 104* off 92 balls which included 13 boundaries and 3 sixes.
On the occasion of Morbi Team qualifying for Knockout Round, President Shri Kantibhai Amrutiya Saheb congratulated the entire team. Shri Kantibai also felicitated and wished Head Coach Nishant Jani and gave his best wishes to him & the entire team to move forward with great success.
