Played at Darshanam Sports and Academy Ground in Vadodara, Mumbai batting first made an impressive total of 359/9 in 50 overs. Openers Angkrish Raghuvanshi (64 runs) and Sumeir Zaveri (61 runs) gave a solid start to the innings putting on 89 runs opening stand while Prateek Yadav at the middle order scored 59 runs. Ayaz Khan coming in at no.6 played the perfect role of a finisher entertaining each and every spectator on the ground as he played a blinder of an innings to snatch the game away from Goa. Ayaz smashed a brilliant 99* off mere 41 balls which included as many as 11 sixes. Striking at 241.46, Ayaz displayed pure dominance with the bat perfectly ending the death overs and taking Mumbai to a strong position.
Goa in reply were bundled out for 187 runs in 35.1 overs with Rohan G bagging 3wkts while Hrishikesh Gore and Prince Badiani scalping 2wkts each as Mumbai won the match by 172 runs.
