Mahender’s gutsy 65 & Sarath’s 4-fer steers Spartans Cricket Club to a win in Essex County 2nd Division Cricket League’23

Played at Fairlop Oak Playing Fields, Spartans CC 2 XI batting first made a healthy total of 254/8 in 45 overs. Most of the Spartans CC Batters did their job with the bat with Mahender coming at 5th down being the top scorer with a match winning half century. Mahender Mandha scored an impressive 65 off 64 balls which played a crucial role in Spartans crossing the 250 run mark. Apart from Mahender, Srikanth Reddy (36 off 37) and Sai Santosh (25 off 47) provided handy cameos with the bat.

Redbridge Parks CC 1 XI in reply were cleaned up for 121 runs in 29.4 overs with Sarath Kotamarthi returning with an impactful spell taking 4/17 derailing the batting line up of Redbridge Parks CC. Apart from Sarath, Vinod and Pratap also bagged 2wkts each as Spartans CC 2 XI won the match by 133 runs.
