Spartans CC, Essex opting to bat first at Oakplay Playing Fields made a total of 131/all out in 36.2 overs. Most of the batters found it a bit difficult to convert their starts but it was their no.3 bat Mahender showing grit and resilience fighting it through facing 101 balls and anchoring team towards a defendable total. Mahender batted till the end remaining not out on 50* off 101 balls which included 3 boundaries and lots of hard work between the wickets.
Aztecs CC, Ilford in reply were cleaned up for 81 runs in 24.5 overs with Sai Santosh Pujari being the pick of the lot taking 3/23 in 5.5 overs. Chinna Katha and Srinivas Gunti also contributed well taking 2 wkts each as Spartans CC won the match by 50 runs.
