Kishan Singh’s unbeaten half century steers Borivali CC to a win in the finals of GK Phanse U19 Tournament’24

Into the all important finals played at the Central Maidan in Thane, Deccan CC batting first notched up a total of 250 runs, a more than decent total to defend vs Borivali CC team. Chasing 251, Borivali CC top order batters showed substance as opener Tushar Singh gave a flying start going to score a brilliant 120* off 104 balls smashing 11 fours and 4 sixes. Tushar also stitched a good partnership with no.3 batsman Omkar Patankar who scored 52 runs.

The finishing touch was given by Kishan Singh who anchored the chase with an unbeaten half century to steer his team towards the victory line. Kishan who trains at DY Cricket Academy in Bhayender scored 50* off 56 balls smashing 6 fours and 1 six. Kishan showed great substance and perfectly played the finishers role to perfection as they crossed the victory line in the 35th over winning the match by 7 wkts.
