Keeper Ibtisam Shaikh leads from the front with a match winning 53* in Goa Women’s Premier League’23

Venture XI opting to bat first at GCA Ground in Porvorim made a 1st innings total of 145/5 in 20 overs. Tammanna Nigam at no.3 was the top scorer in the match as she scored a ferocious 74* off just 52 balls. Skipper Tarannum Pathan at the middle order also contributed with 31 off 31 balls. From the bowlers, Tanaya Naik with 1/23 was the pick of the lot.

Geno Dragons in reply chased down the score successfully thanks to a match winning half century by wicket-keeper batsman Ibtisam Shaikh. Even though wickets were falling from the other end, ibtisam held fort and stitched a crucial stand with Mitali G at the middle order stitching 72 runs together for the 3rd wicket. Ibtisam held her nerves and anchored till the very end scoring a match winning 54* off 53 balls smashing 6 fours and a six.

Result: Geno Dragons won by 5 wkts.
