JBCN International School conducts Successful Cricket Tour to UAE

JBCN International School, Parel, one of the most reputed Schools in Mumbai recently concluded an International Cricket Tour to UAE where they played quality cricket vs different teams of UAE.  JBCN International School in total played 3 matches and came back victorious winning 2 out of 3 games.

In the first match vs DPS Legends U11 team at SES Oval Home of Desert Cubs Ground in Dubai, DC DPS Legends after being put to bat first scored a total of 183/6 in 25 overs with middle order player Advait scoring 52 runs. JBCN bowlers did a decent job not allowing the opposition to reach or cross the 200 run mark. JBCN in reply gave a tough fight courtesy Hridaan Bhalaria’s unbeaten 82* off 52 balls where he smashed 6 sixes in a fearless attempt to help his team win! However, JBCN managed 165/9 at the end of their innings as DC DPS Legends won the match by 18 runs.

In the second match which followed the next day on same ground vs DC ECD Lions, JBCN bounced back in no time putting on 181 runs in 25 overs with Veer Karwat (36 runs) and Ohm Shah (26* runs) being the top scorers. In reply, DC ECD Lions only lost a wicket but failed to keep up with the required run rate as they managed 166/1 in 25 overs. Kiyana Sheth with 1/9 in 3 overs and Shivay Dalal with 0/14 in 3 overs with a maiden were the pick of the lot as JBCN International School won the match by 15 runs.

In the 3rd match which followed, DC SIS Emerging after being put to bat first gave a target of 165 runs to JBCN getting all out for 164 runs. Veer Karwat with 2/21 in 5 overs was the pick of the lot while rest of the bowlers also did a decent job. JBCN International School in reply chased down the score successfully crossing the victory line in 23rd over and winning the match by 3 wkts. Shivaay Dalal played a match winning innings of 53* at the middle order which did the job for his team as he also took home Man of the Match award!

We take away lots of positives and learnings from the tour. It was an enriching experience for young JBCN players as well as for us.
