Parsee Gymkhana batting first on their homeground began season with a began putting up a solid performance in their opening match of the season. Parsee Gymkhana notched up a total of 247/9 dec in 41 overs powered by left hander Jayy Jain’s half century. After a solid start by openers Nutan and Ishan Mulchandani who put on 54 runs, Jayy coming at no.3 took the ahead from there with a very solid looking knock of 74 runs in 66 balls. Jayy smashed as many as 6 sixes in his knock of 74 striking at an impressive 112 while rest of the batters chipped in with cameos to take their team towards a respectable total.

Shivaji Park Youngsters in reply scored 137/10 all out in 42 overs thanks to a disciplined bowling performance by the PG bowlers. Mairaj Khan with 4/30 led from the front while Sylvester D Souza and Shams Mulani bagged 2 wickets each as Parsee Gymkhana won the match on 1st innings lead.
