DY Academy’s Shaurya Pithwa and Akshai Rai smash half centuries in 7th All India Shree Mati Vidya Devi U14 Cricket Series

Played at Green Park Oval Cricket Ground in Delhi, Venkateshwar Cricket Academy opting to bat first made a total of 223/10 in 39.4 overs powered by Moksh Sagar’s half century at the middle order. From the bowlers, Clarence and Arjun Bhanushali with 2wkts each were the pick of the lot.

Chasing 224, Payyade Cricket Academy, Vasai made 157/3 in 40 overs. As many as 4 batters including one retired hurt opener Vinit found it difficult to convert their starts. However, opener Shaurya Pithva showed impressive resistance scoring an unbeaten 50* off 88 balls. Akshaj Rai at no.5 scored a solid 55* off 83 balls as well as both the batters who train at DY Cricket Academy in Mumbai stitched a handy partnership together.

Result: Venkateshwar Cricket Academy won the match by 66 runs
