Chintan Sheth’s counter-attacking 88 puts Shivneri Warriors on Top in 2N Designers Premier League Season 3

Shivneri Warriors opting to bat first at Brilliant Sports Academy Ground in Pune made a total of 174/4 in 20 overs. Captain Jagdish Sure (48 runs) and no.3 batsman Chintan Sheth stitched a match winning 1st wicket partnership of 62 runs which set the tone for their innings. Chintan went on to score a brilliant knock off 88 runs in 54 balls, a knock which included 12 boundaries and 3 sixes striking at 163.00. Chintan almost batted till the very end before getting run out in the 2nd last ball of the match. From the bowlers, Bhavesh Satam with 2/40 was the pick of the lot.

Lohagad Emperors in reply almost gave a tough fight thanks to Yash Baldawa’s heroic 92.  After losing both the openers early, Yash did not lose hopes for his team as he counter attacked the bowlers scoring a well fought 92 off 55 balls smashing 13 boundaries and 3 sixes. Yash was well supported by Bhavesh Satam who scored 28 runs. Till the time Yash was at the crease, the match was going in Lohagad’s favor until Chintan Sheth took the most important wicket of the match.

Chintan with 3/29 alongwith Girish Oak (3/15) were the pick of the lot as Shivneri Warriors won the match by 4 runs. Chintan for his all-round performance was declared ‘player of the match”
