Chhattisgarh Captain & Senior Pro Harpreet Singh Bhatia bids adieu to CSCS

Former Ranji Captain and one of the most prolific batters of Chhattisgarh Cricket Team – Harpreet Singh Bhatia ends his association with Chhattisgarh Cricket Team. After a glorious run since last 6 years, Harpreet has decided to bid farewell to the CSCS board on a very positive note.

Since 2018-19, Harpreet has continuously topped the charts for CSCS being their top run scorer. Harpreet in his very first season for CSCS was the leading run scorer with 627 runs in 8 matches. It was his solid performance which also gave him a call up for Duleep Trophy in the India Red team in the same season. His consistency continued for many seasons as he piled on runs and helped Chhattisgarh dominate in multiple tournaments. Even between 2021 to 2022, Harpreet scored a stunning 2198 runs in 26 innings which included 9 fifties, 6 hundreds and a highest score of 221 at an unbelievable batting average of 87.54.

Harpreet also showed his mettle in Vijay Hazare in the 2022 season scoring 516 runs in 7 matches at average of 86.00! Harpreet who averages nearly 50 in Ranji Trophy with over 10,000+ runs across formats in Senior Domestic Cricket also played a crucial role as a Captain of the Ranji Team for CSCS since last few seasons. The team not only fared well and improved but also alot of new talents emerged under his leadership.
