Captain Dheeraj Paswan’s brilliant 167 steers Royal Pink Plate to a win in MCC Pro 40 Days League’25

MCC Orange Plate opting to bat first at Oval Maidan in Mumbai were all out for 145 runs in their first innings in 47.3 overs. Shashank Kumar at the middle order was the highest scorer with 52 runs while rest of the batters found it difficult to get going. From the bowlers, Kayan Shah with 2/8 and Harshit Singh 2/14 were the pick of the lot.

Royal Pink Plate in reply batted exceptionally well notching up a massive 352/3 dec in 64 overs courtesy a mammoth 208 run opening stand between Aarav Thakkar (93 runs) and Captain Dheeraj Paswan. Dheeraj went on to score an impressive 167* off 198 balls as he batted from start to end in an innings which included 23 boundaries and a six at a robust strike rate of 84.34.

MCC Orange Plate in 2nd innings batted for 21 overs with scoreboard reading 95/7 before the end of the game’s play where Royal Pink Plate won the match on 1st innings lead. Dheeraj Paswan for his match winning hundred was declared ‘man of the match”
