Bavishkar’s 6wkt haul helps Brain For Sports (B4S) win the finals of MCC Pro 40 League’25

Jwala Sports Foundation Plate Team after being put to bat first at Oval Maidan in the all important finals were all out for 67 runs in 33.3 overs. Most of the batters found it difficult to get going courtesy a match winning bowling performance by Akshay Baviskar. Akshay changed the course of the match in no time providing timely breakthroughs as he returned with exceptional bowling figures of 6/16 in 7.3 overs including a maiden.

B4S Plate Team in reply chased down the score in 13.2 overs winning the match by 8 wkts. Captain Bhagya Patel (18* off 34 balls) and Rohit Dolas (26* off 34 balls) finished off the chase for their team taking home the elite MCC Pro 40 Overs League Cup.

Akshay Bavishkar for his match winning fifer in the finals was declared ‘man of the match” .Afsar Ahmad with 12 wkts in 6 matches was declared the Best Bowler of the Tournament while Bhagya Patel with 379 runs in 8 innings at an average of 75.80 was declared ‘the best batsman’ of the tournament.
