Ayush Vartak smashes Double Ton at no.6, keeps Route Mobile on top in the A Division Times Shield’25

Route Mobile Ltd opting to bat first at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Kandivali, Mumbai made a massive first innings total posting 559/10 in 127.2 overs. After losing some quick top order wickets, Siddarth Akre at no.4 scored 103 runs off 170 balls which included 7 boundaries and 6 sixes. Siddarth also stitched a partnership with Bhushan Talwadekar who scored 71 runs. Ayush Vartak who came at no.6 proved to be the game changer as he went on to score a massive knock of 219 runs. Ayush registered the first double century of A Division Times Shield as he displayed complete dominance on the ground. Ayush scored 219 runs off 175 balls which included 18 boundaries and as many as 14 sixes litting up the ground with his amazing strokeplay.

Jain Irrigation in reply were all out for 331 runs in their first innings with Shams Mulani being the pick of the lot taking 4 wkts. Route Mobile batted for 24 overs in their 2nd  innings before the end of the game’s play where they won the match on 1st innings lead.
