Ayush Shetty’s 139 propels Mount Joy CC to a win in the Sir Mirza Ismail Shield Tournament’22

Played at Silver Oval Ground in Alur, Modern CC after being put to bat first managed to score a 1st innings total of 236/9 in67.4 overs. They had batters chipping in with starts but no one could convert it into a substantial big score. Mount Joy Cricket Club in reply dominated from the world go scoring 315 for the loss of just 2 wickets in 85 overs. 

Opener Ayush Shetty changed the game in no time as he went on to score a brilliant innings of 139 runs in 241 balls. An innings of solid composure and proper cricket shots where in smashed 20 fours and a six while also stitched  a massive partnership of 228 runs for the 2nd wicket with Akshan Rao who scored 122* off 179 balls smashing 19 fours and a six.

Result: Mount Joy CC won the match on 1st innings lead
