Amogh Bhatkal smashes ton while spinner Rahul Sawant bags a 6wkt haul vs PJ Hindu Gymkhana in Police Shield Tournament’25

PJ Hindu Gymkhana after being put to bat first on their home ground made a total of 370 runs in first innings in 70 overs. Powered by a massive opening partnership by Amogh Bhatkal and Rugved More who put on 179 runs for the first wicket. Amogh went on to score a thumping hundred scoring 110 off 142 balls which included 14 boundaries while Rugved scored 92 off 109 balls which included 17 boundaries.

Defending a total of 371 on their home ground, PJ’s ace and experienced Spinner Rahul Sawant came to the fore as he made life difficult for Karnatak Sporting Association batters. Left-arm spinner Rahul Sawant returned with match winning bowling figures of 6/66 in 19.1 overs including a maiden which restricted the Karnatak team to 229 runs all out in 52.1 overs.

Result: PJ Hindu Gymkhana won by 141 runs.
