Nikhil Jain MoM

Sinhagad Lions opting to bat first at Bapusaheb Shelar Cricket Ground in Pune batted well amassing a total of 181/4 in 20 overs. Even though, it was a shaky start with both the openers getting dismissed for ducks, it was Nikhil Jain who once again showed his heroics with the bat. Nikhil took the pressure away and changed the momentum in his team’s favor through his fearless batting as he batted till the end smashing 100* off 50 balls. Nikhil smashed 9 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 200.00 while he was well supported by middle order bats Siddhant Purandare (24 off 33 balls) and Abhishek Dave (32* off 18 balls) as they took their team towards a strong position.

Pratapgad Royals in reply could only manage 144/7 in 20 overs with Captain Rishikesh Bagul being the top scorer with 42 runs. Sinhagad bowlers did a great job of restricting the batters and keeping them under leash with Nikhil Jain being the pick of the bowlers as well returning with bowling figures of 4/20 in 4 overs as he completely owned the day with his all-round form.

Sinhagad Lions won the match by 37 runs, Nikhil Jain declared ‘Man of the Match”
