All-Rounder Harshal Waghmare impresses with a match winning 86 in MCC Pro 40 League’24

MCC Red Elite opting to bat first at Oval Maidan in Mumbai made a total of 254/6 in 38 overs with Captain and opener Manohar giving a solid start with 40 runs. MCC Red Elite did lose some wickets in between but Harshal Waghmare at no.6 played a blinder of an innings helping his team cross a 250+ total. Harshal with a broken hand (faced an injury during match) showed great determination and aggression as he went on to score a brilliant knock of 86* off 66 balls which included 9 boundaries and 2 sixes.

MCC Yellow Elite in reply were all out for 175 runs in 37.3 overs with Harshal Waghmare owning the match with complete all-round performance. Harshal was the pick of the lot amongst the bowlers too returning with excellent bowling figures of 4/25 in 8 overs including 2 maidens as MCC Red Elite won the match by 75 runs.
