A Commanding win for Sporting Union CC in U12 Bhaskar Thakur Memorial Tournament’24

Kansara Cricket Club opting to bat first at Bharat CC, Shivaji Park made a total of 91/4 in 22 overs with Kartik Panchal at the middle order being the highest scorer with 22* off 22 balls. Sporting Union bowlers kept it tight not allowing the opposition to score runs freely as most of the bowlers maintained a steady economy rate. Abhimanyu with 2/9 in 4 overs including a maiden was the pick of the lot.

Chasing 92, Sporting Union Cricket Club chased it down successfully as the match remained exciting till the very last over. Even though, some wickets fell early on, Vivaan Sawant at no.3 held fort scoring a solid looking 31 off 56 balls smashing 3 boundaries while keeper batsman Sarvesh (9* off 9 balls) at the middle order finished off the chase.

Sporting Union Club which is managed and coached by Hrishikesh Puranik performed well giving a tough competition. The club also has players from Cricket Explained Academy which is one of the best cricket academies in Dombivli.
