Yes, we are talking about the sidearm specialist Rohit Sharma from Faridabad who has added too many feathers in his caps since last 4 years. From working with an IPL Team to assisting the Indian Disabled Team to now getting appointed as Sri Lanka’s Sidearm Specialist in Dubai, Rohit has rose through the ranks as a professional sidearm specialist.
Rohit, a Professional Cricketer himself took a turn in the year 2019-2020. Rohit suffered a serious injury because of which he had to stop playing Cricket. It was during that phase, he decided to pursue a career as a sidearm specialist & fielding coach considering the demand for such professionals as well as his ability to give quality practice sessions. Rohit was guided by Current Ranji Trophy Player Chandra Pal Saini and in a span of 4 years now, he is now considered amongst the best in the business.
After working with numerous Ranji Players and State Teams, Rohit was appointed as Head Fielding Coach of India’s Disabled Team in 2024 and continues to work with the Indian Disabled Team. Rohit was appointed as Side Arm Specialist with Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 Season. His experience in last 5-7yrs has definitely made him one of the top sidearm specialists in India. Apart from that, Rohit also works as a Full Time Sidearmer for IPL Players Rahul Tewatia. The goodwill he has earned in cricket has also helped him open his own academy in the name of RS cricket academy in Kanwara, Faridabad where he coaches 7 mentors young age group players.
His journey has only started as he continues to add feather to his cap this time getting appointed as a Throwdown Specialist with Sri Lanka Cricket Team for Asia Cup in Dubai, 2025. Dasun Shanaka, one of the key players who has also been Captain of Sri Lanka Team personally called up Rohit to give practice sessions to entire Sri Lanka team in Dubai.
