Opener Akhil’s blazing unbeaten 65* guides Cricket Club of India to a win in Padmakar Talim Shield’26

Muslim United Sports Club batting first on CCI Ground were all out for 166 runs in 35.2 overs. Skipper Rohan Tambe with 43* was the highest scorer while from the CCI bowlers, left arm spinner Dhrumil Matkar was the pick of the lot as he took 5/29 in 9 overs including 3 maidens. Apart from Dhrumil, Kartik Mishra also bagged 4 wkts.

Cricket Club of India in reply chased down the score in just 11 overs showing pure dominance on their home ground. Openers Akhil Herwadkar and Bins Neyoth (57 runs) took the game in their hands stitching a 96 run stand in mere 5.5 overs. Akhil remained unbeaten with a blazing knock of 65* in mere 31 balls smashing 10 boundaries and 2 sixes. Akhil batted at a strike rate of 209.68 as he took on the bowlers with authority helping CCI win the match by 8 wkts.
