Morbi District Dominates U14, U16 & U19 Cricket Team Selections for Saurashtra Team

A proud moment for the people of Morbi as 5 players from Morbi District namely Radhe Bhimani, Digvijay Parmar, Nikhil Chattaria, Manav Aghara and Manjeet Kumkhaniya have made it to different age group teams of Saurashtra Cricket Association. Radhe has made it into the Saurashtra U14 Team. Digvijay and Nikhil have made it to the U16 Team while Manav and Manjeet have made it into the Saurashtra U19 Team.

It’s Certainly a proud moment for Nishant Jani who is the Head Coach of Morbi District Cricket Association. Morbi District merged with Saurashtra Cricket Association in 2014 and since then many teams from Senior District, U25 District, U19 District, U16 District & Under 14 District have been recognized.

It’s very difficult to get acknowledged by a prestigious association like Saurashtra Cricket Association but Coach Nishant Jani feels the hardwork and passion of Morbi Cricketers & the efforts put by Nishant has helped Morbi Cricket Association get recognized across various age groups. Saurashtra Cricket Association’s Niranjan Shah and President Jaidev Shah have also played a leading role in the development of Cricket in Saurashtra as well as in Morbi. Jaidev Shah is working tirelessly for 10 hours daily so that the players of Saurashtra or from anywhere in Saurashtra region do not face any problems.

Jaydev Shah has drastically changed the infrastructure of Saurashtra Cricket Association and has helped in providing many facilities to the players. Along with this, Jaidev Shah is also trying to organize Cricket Tournaments throughout the year resulting in improvement in the quality of cricket player in Saurashtra. They all have been at the forefront in solving all the minor and major problems of the players.

On this Meritorious Occasion, President of Morbi District Cricket Association Kantibhai Amritya Congratulated the Selected Players and expressed hope that in future some of the best cricketers from Morbi will go on to represent the Indian Team in future and furthermore brighten the name of Morbi,
