Morbi Cricket Association Head Coach Nishant Jani completes ICC Level 3 Certification

Nishant Jani, a well-known cricket coach from Morbi and head coach of Morbi District Cricket Association and head batting and fielding coach of Saurashtra Cricket Association’s senior women’s team, has added one more feather to his cap. Recently, Nishant Jani completed his ICC Level 3 training, the highest level of cricket coaching making him the most qualified Cricket Coach of Saurashtra.

If we talk about ICC Level 3 in detail, level 3 coaches in Gujarat are very less. The training is based on cricket coaching science. In this course bio-mechanics, neuro, ortho and how to treat head injuries during the match, how to provide proper treatment under the guidance of the coach if any players are injured are studied. Notably, Nishant Jani had previously successfully completed Level 1 in 2016, Level 2 in 2018 and now completes ICC Level 3.

Nishant Jani shared with Zoom- “3 International Players come from all over the world. Gemma Abbott (South Africa), Jeevan (Sri Lanka), Upul Tharangi (Sri Lanka) had also attended for Level 3 Training. Nishant Jani said that the privilege of getting knowledge and training from these International Cricketers is completely a great experience and further he said that level 3 training is provided in very detailed manner. In which, as a coach, understanding the mindset of the team players is mastered. Even if the coach does not play an international level match, but with his own creative ideas, he can make an impact for the team Level 3 provides training on how to unleash the latent power in the players and make them masters. The training provides de-briefing, case studies, pitch curating and knowledge including conditioning, medications and nutritionists”

It’s also noteworthy that a coach who has received this Certified course is qualified to coach an international cricket team anywhere in the world. For this, coach Nishant Jani expressed his gratitude to Saurashtra Cricket Association President Jaydev Shah, Hitesh Goswami who are level 3 faculty. in addition to Morbi District Cricket Association. President Kantibhai Amrutya has also been meeting and he is confident that Morbi players can shine at the international level.

Nishant Jani also expressed his gratitude to Umesh Patwal, who has been mentoring him for the past 14 years, his guru is also part of the international team. Nishant Jani said that he is constantly learning new techniques with Umesh Patwal and he credits a large share of his journey to him.
