Played at the iconic Holkar Stadium in Indore, Madhya Pradesh batting first scored 384/8 dec in 106 overs. After losing some early wickets with scoreboard reading 80/4 at one stage, the experienced campaigner Harpreet Bhatia came to the fore and rescued Madhya Pradesh with a memorable century to his name. Harpreet went on to score a brilliant 116 off 194 balls laced with 14 boundaries and 3 sixes. Harpreet was well supported by middle order batters with whom he stitched crucial stands including a 141runs stand with Venkatesh Iyer and 80 runs partnership for 6th wicket with Aryan Pandey.
Chattisgarh in reply were all out for 310 runs in 95 overs as Madhya Pradesh has a lead of 74 runs from the first innings. It will be interesting to see how the 2nd innings pan out as Madhya Pradesh definitely seems to be in a commanding position from here.
