MCA A opting to bat first at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana Ground in Kandivali made a total of 259/5 in 50 overs. Openers Sanmaya (65 runs) and Alina (77 runs) gave a flying start to the innings putting on a 129 run opening stand for the team. From the bowlers, Trisha Parmar with 3/41 was the pick of the lot.
Chasing 260, MCA B in reply managed to score 210/9 in 50 overs. Most of their batters found it difficult to get going apart from Heeya Pandit who fought it out single handedly for the team. Heeya who trains at DY Cricket Academy showed great fighting spirit and resistance as she scored an impressive knock of 111* off 115 balls. Coming at a time when team was 3/39, Heeya batted till the very end as she smashed 16 boundaries and a six to top score in the match.
Heeya did manage to scare at one point while chasing however she lacked support from other end which ensured MCA A won the match by 49 runs.
