MIG Cricket Club batting first on their homeground made a total of 364/7 in 45 overs. Opener Rudra Dhanday (96 runs) and Jayesh Pokhare (106 runs off 56 balls) at the middle order top scored for MIG. Jayesh Pokhare who came at no.5 smashed as many as 7 sixes and 9 boundaries in his century. From the bowlers, Saksham Parashar, Parikshit and Aditya Dhumal bagged 2 wickets each.
Chasing 365 in 45 overs in MIG’s own backyard is definitely not easy but Goregaon Sports Club did the unthinkable by successfully chasing it down in 44 overs. After a decent start given by the top 3 batters, Captain Saksham Parashar coming at no.4 once again led from the front scoring a match winning century. This century becomes all the more special as he did that while chasing a 300+ total anchoring his team into the quarters.
Saksham scored 139 off just 90 deliveries which included 9 maximums and 11 boundaries as he single-handedly dominated every bowler to steer his team towards a memorable victory. Saksham was well supported by middle and lower middle order batters who chipped in with handy cameos as Goregaon Sports Club won the match 3 wickets.
