Achievers’s Nishad Parab strikes with a 11wkt haul for Mumbai in U14 West Zone Multiday Tournament’26

Played at Gujarat College Cricket Ground A in Ahmedabad, Mumbai opting to bat first made a total of 235 runs in 84.5 overs. Keeper Ayush Bendal (38*), Opener Shardul Fagare (37 runs) and Aarav Yadav (36 runs) were the top scorers for Mumbai.

Gujarat in reply were all out for 179 runs in their 1st innings thanks to an impressive bowling spell by spinner Nishad Parab who made life difficult for Gujarat Batters. Nishad held fort from one end with his tight bowling as he returned with exceptional bowling figures of 7/58 in 37.3 overs which included as many as 13 maidens.

Mumbai in 2nd innings declared their innings at 160/9 giving a target of 217 runs to Gujarat which Gujarat chased down successfully winning the match by 3 wkts. It was a close shave game where both the teams fought hard. Nishad in 2nd innings was also pick of the lot taking 4/66 in 15.4 overs. Nishad who trains at Achievers Cricket Academy in Mumbai ended the match with bowling figures of 11/124 in 55.1 overs!
