Over the years, Subramanian Doraiswamy has developed a rich reputation and legacy, first as a professional cricketer and then as a Cricket Coach since almost more than a decade. No wonder, his academy: Achievers Cricket Academy in no time has become one of the sought after cricket academies in Mumbai.

In the last few years, Subramanian, a BCCI Level 2 Certified Coach has made rapid strides as a Cricket Coach and his journey has been nothing but inspiring in the cricketing circles. Subramanian has over 15 years of experience with professional cricket coaching comprising of youth of various age groups and professional & semi-professional cricketers representing their state, club, corporate etc. He has also trained and developed school cricket teams, college cricket teams and corporate cricket teams and has been a major link in their success in the Mumbai cricketing fraternity.

Subramanian has been the Head Coach at Modern English High School, Chembur & the school team won the prestigious Giles shield and came into Harris shield finals and in MI finals in a span of just 2 years since the formation of teams. Subramanian has been instrumental with introducing Modern English School Girls Cricket Team for the 1st time ever this year.

With being a coach, he has also been a professional cricketer who played competitive and top league cricket in Mumbai for DY PATIL Group. Subbu also played the Minor League representing the Chicago Tigers franchise in the United States of America. Subramanian’s last few years in the US as a coach as well as a selector for different age categories has played a key role in the development of grassroot cricket in USA.

Additionally with coaching, Subramanian has expertise in handling and operating various cricket teams and is also into infrastructure development of cricket academies making him a complete all-round package.

Subramanian Doraiswamy

As a professional cricketer too, Subbu as he is fondly called has had a chequered career in Mumbai Cricket. In his early years, Subramanian went on to represent India, West Zone and Mumbai at University level in the year 2005-06. Subramanian also played as an Indian Professional in Tanzania Cricket League in 2011-12. Subramanian was part of Mumbai Ranji Probables in 2012 followed by representing Mumbai Ranji Trophy side in the 2013-14 season. Subramanian also represented multiple franchises like Aakash Tigers and Arcs Andheri in the MPL – T20 Mumbai league.

Subramanian also represented Chicago Tigers Franchise in the Minor League in 2023-24 in USA. As a -first class cricketer, Subu was also selected in Mumbai Ranji Trophy One Day Team in Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2013 scoring a brisk 61 vs Maharashtra in his debut game. As a top division cricketer, Subramanian has also been an employed cricketer and captain representing DY Patil for almost 17 years playing across all major MCA Club and Corporate Tournaments.

One of his memorable matches also include representing DY Patil Academy in a 3 Day match vs England playing against the likes of Steven Finn, Graham Onions, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan, Jade Dernbach, Craig Kieswitter amongst others at DY. Patil stadium.

Known for his sound traditional approach and a rock solid batting technique at the top and middle order batsman, Subramanian has been an pivotal batsman for DY Patil providing many crucial performances for the club across different tournaments spanning across almost 2 decades.
