In Cricket Coaching, it’s often said, that as much as skills, the experience counts, the wisdom, the knowledge plays an important role when it comes to grooming a player. The wisdom is often gained by experience and experience is often gained by opportunities and Derek Perera is one such Cricket Coach who has created a massive presence for himself in the world of Cricket.

Derek -a Former International Cricketer & the founder of Ontario Cricket Academy has been associated with Cricket Canada since his early days right from grassroot level to International Level. Derek is one person who has groomed and prepared many professional cricketers who are currently playing at higher levels including the Canada National Team.

In a Coaching Career spanning almost over 2 decades, Derek boasts of an unrivalled profile as he has coached almost all the age groups of Canada Cricket Team. Derek was also the Performance Analyst for Canada National Senior Cricket Team helping them qualify for the 2007 World Cup.
