Suhail Ansari’s half century guides MCC Thane A to a win in Friendship Cup Tournament Season 5

NL Cricket Academy opting to bat first at Azad Maidan in Mumbai made a total of 119/10 in 33.5 overs. Most of the batters found it difficult to get going as MCC bowlers did not allow anyone to convert their starts into big scores.  From MCC bowlers, Sahil, Akshay and Shashank with 2 wickets each were the pick of the lot.

Chasing 120, it looked like a mere cakewalk for MCC Thane A as they took mere 15.1 overs to finish off the game.  Openers Suhail Ansari and Pranay Patil (31 runs) gave a flying start putting on 79 runs in just 9.4 overs. Opener Suhail scored an aggressive 63 off just 46 balls which included 6 boundaries and 3 sixes as MCC Thane won the match by 7 wkts.
