Risabh Gupta steers MCC to a commanding 9 wkt win in Dilip Vengsarkar U19 Tournament’24

Played at Elf Oval Maidan in Mumbai, Dream XI Vengsarkar after being put to bat first made a total of 191/8 in 40 overs. Sanskar P at the middle order smashed half century while rest of the batters chipped in with cameos. MCC bowlers did an impressive job restricting Dream XI team to a modest total with all-rounder Rishabh Gupta leading from the front amongst bowlers taking 3/21 in 8 overs including a maiden. Anand Ashwin also bagged 2 wkts while the rest contributed with a wicket each.

Mumbai Cricket Club in reply chased down the score with sheer dominance winning the match by 9 wkts. Risabh Gupta opening the innings starred with the bat as well as he went on to score a blazing 130* off mere 78 balls which changed the course of the match. Risabh and Captain Manohar Bhushan (50* off 45 balls) stitched stitched an unbeaten 162 run stand for the 2nd wicket as MCC crossed the victory line in just 22.1 overs,

Result: MCC won by 9 wkts, Risabh Gupta declared ‘Man of the Match”
