Nikhil delivers in the finals, Arch Mavericks win AT20 Season 9 for the 5th Consecutive Time

Into the all important finals of AT20 Season 9 at Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Ground in Mahul, Arch Mavericks opting to bat first made a total of 155/7 in 20 overs. After a sluggish start at the top of the order, it was Nikhil Jain at the middle order who contributed with a crucial innings of 48 runs in mere 23 balls. Nikhil who is also the captain of the team led from the front smashing 5 fours and a six at a strike rate of 209.00 and helping Arch Mavericks cross the 150 run mark to defend.

Avengers in reply were all out for 132 runs in 19.3 overs thanks to some disciplined bowling performance from the Mavericks bowlers.  Shailesh Gule and Shubham Shingate bagged 2 wkts each while the rest of the bowlers also chipped in with a wicket each.

This is the 5th consecutive win for Arch Mavericks team while 2nd consecutive win under Nikhil Jain’s captaincy.

Result: Arch Mavericks won the finals by 23 runs, Nikhil Jain for his all-round performance of 48 runs and 1 wkt was declared “man of the match”
