Devesh Bamhane’s 72 helps Achievers Yellow wins the finals of Achievers Major League Edition 1

Achievers Yellow after being put to bat first at Cross Maidan made a healthy total of 166/5 in 20 overs. Opener Devesh Bamhane who looked in good shape in the first match too top scored in the match with a brilliant half century. Devesh scored 72 off mere 44 balls smashing 11 boundaries at a healthy strike rate of 163.64. The rest of the batters batted around him as Achievers Yellow reached more than a defendable total on board. From the bowlers, Dhanesh Trivedi with 4/13 in 1.5 overs was the pick of the lot.

Achievers Red in reply managed to give a tough fight but eventually fell short as they scored 156/6 in 20 overs. Wicket-keeper opening batsman Saieesh Maiyya scored 41 off just 24 balls while captain Aditya Surve scored 48 off 32 balls. However, they lacked the pace and support from the other end as Achievers Yellow bowlers got the better of the opposition. From the bowlers, Tejas C with 2/13 was the pick of the lot.
