After a Commanding semi-finals win over Speed CC on the back of Aayush Amberkar’s 59 & 2 wkts, Dhruv’s 48 and Sandeep Sawant’s 4wkts, it was time for Cricket Explained Academy to give their final shot in the finale vs MS Dhoni CC at Jagannath Krida Sankul at Badlapur.

Cricket Explained Academy opting to bat first made a total of 92/9 in 25 overs with Indra Mishra (16 runs)  and Aayush Ambekar (14 runs) being the top scorers. Defending a low total, the pressure was more on Cricket Explained Academy but their bowlers did an excellent job under pressure to restrict MS Dhoni CC to 78 runs all out in just 21 overs.

Skipper Aarya Sagare led from the front coming up with a special spell of 6/9 in 5 overs including a maiden. Aaarya delivered at a time when only 15 runs were needed and he came and cleaned up the lower order as well of MS Dhoni CC ensuring Cricket Explained Academy become the Champions of JKS U14 Champions League.

Head Coach Hrishikesh Puranik shared “Unbelievable scenes in the finals. We batted first and managed on 94. 11 year old Ronit Patil and Indra steady batting helped us get to 94. We got 4 early wickets. They had a partnership in between. With 3 wickets left for us to win they required 15 runs. Captain Aarya Sagare took 3 wickets in one over and finished the game to win us the finals. This is very emotional for me as a coach as the boys have worked extremely hard and this is the result of their effort under the sun since they started training at our academy. So proud of this bunch”
